I've never thought about if it is or not, until I had to DECLARE things inside a loop in T-SQL. Maybe this not news for many, but it was for me.
A few days ago I installed a subversion server on my development machine to try it out and play with it, especially about it's "merge-awareness" feature called Reintegrate. Well, it totally sucks...
